How She Learned About Us:

After leaving her job at the Department of Health, Ditha taught computer classes at a senior center. At the center, she read an article about the Medicare Rights Center in the Over 50 magazine. The article mentioned how our volunteers have helped many people solve their Medicare issues.

Why Volunteering With Us Appealed to Her:

Ditha loves watching the AmeriCorps VISTAs, fellows, and other younger staff grow throughout their time at the Medicare Rights Center.

How Long Has Ditha Volunteered Here:

At least 5 years. She has lost count!

Ditha’s hobbies include: teaching her granddaughter how to crochet, arts and crafts projects of all kinds, cooking (she can’t cook for one!), and learning about the stock market. She has also collected stamps for 20 years.
