For New York Professionals

imageThe Medicare Rights Center wants to help New York professionals like you do the very best for your clients with Medicare, and offers several services designed specifically for you.

A special Technical Assistance Hotline for the New York State Health Insurance Assistance Programs (SHIP) offers unbiased, up-to-date technical assistance to New York State Health Insurance Information Counseling Assistance Programs (HIICAP) coordinators and counselors eight hours a day, five days a week.

The Medicare Rights Center is a designated specialist agency in New York City's Managed Care Consumer Assistance Program (MCCAP) network, and provides technical assistance and training to other agencies in the NYC MCCAP network. We also accept referrals from MCCAP agencies if the situation requires our expertise. Contact us if you are a member of the MCCAP network and would like to speak with a specialist.

Every month, health care professionals representing community and advocacy groups, businesses and government agencies gather as part of the New York Medicare Savings Coalition. imageThe Coalition seeks to increase awareness of, access to, and enrollment in health care assistance programs for low-income New Yorkers with Medicare. Become a deputized agent and learn how you can help your clients apply for Medicare Savings Programs.

The Medicare Rights Center also offers training sessions for New York City health care professionals to help keep them abreast of the latest developments in Medicare, and how the changes affect their staff and clients.
