Get an annual pass for unlimited access to the Medicare Rights Center's counseling and resources when you sign up for a one-year Professional Membership (PM).
For an annual fee of $365, professional members receive the following benefits:
- " Answers and guidance on demand demand provided by MRC health insurance counselors via hotline and email. Put our expertise at your fingertips. Counselors will help you identify the issue at hand and will outline the steps necessary to resolve it. MRC's extensive agency contacts and resources ensure that we will also give you the means to solve the problem, including referrals for free and low-cost programs and services in your area and when appropriate, legal research and representation. Calls are taken Monday through Friday, 9:00 am - 5:00 pm EST, and all voicemails are returned within one business day.
- Live learning opportunities through MRC's monthly webinars. A Professional Membership guarantees that you'll get a seat at your choice of (4) live presentations. Currently, these events fill up within 1-2 days of opening registration!
- Counseling resources and ongoing educationso you can easily get up-to-speed and stay up-to-date with the Medicare program.
- Resources include Medicare Interactive, MRC's award-winning suite of web-based counseling and training tools. In addition to access to thousands of Q&As on all aspects of Medicare, this system offers online tutorials, downloadable presentations, and a community forum to help you gain insight from others with similar issues and find support in your field. New York-area counselors will also have access to MI Local Services, a web-based resource directory of free and low-cost assistance programs and services.
- And no need to check back for updates! As new materials and reports are released, MRC will forward a copy directly to your inbox. For example, we have developed a packet of appeals materials for advocates, which includes a Medicare Part D Appeals Manual along with consumer handouts to help you explain the appeals process to your clients.
- An annual subscription to The Medicare Counselor, MRC's educational e-newsletter specifically for professionals working with the Medicare population. You'll receive 6 issues a year.
- A way to show your commitmentto the people who turn to MRC for health care answers, assistance and advocacy. As a professional member, you'll support our mission to ensure that older adults and people with disabilities get good, affordable health care.
Professional memberships may begin at any time during the year and continue for twelve months, after which you will be billed for a renewal membership. Services commence upon payment of the membership fee.
