What is Extra Help?
Extra Help is a federal benefit that helps low-income New Yorkers with Medicare save money on prescription drugs.
If you qualify, your monthly premium could be free and your copayment as little as $2 per prescription!
Do I Qualify for Extra Help?
If you have Medicare and your monthly income is below $1300 for an individual and $1700 for a couple you may qualify for Extra Help.

What if I have Medicaid or a Medicare Savings Program?
- If you have Medicaid or a Medicare Savings Program, you automatically qualify for Extra Help and do not need to complete an application.
