MRC operates six main services to assist people with Medicare.

Consumer Hotline. Through the Consumer Hotline (800-333-4114), MRC provides counseling to individuals who need answers to Medicare-related questions or help getting care. Hotline counselors are available Monday through Friday, 9AM - 1PM (Eastern Time).

RxHelp Hotline for Professionals. MRC operates a national Rx Help hotline (877-RxHelp-0) for professionals with questions on the new Part D prescription drug benefit. Through RxHelp, MRC provides accurate, up-to-date information and technical assistance to nonprofit professionals serving the Medicare population. With support from the Brookdale Foundation Group, hotline counselors are available Monday through Friday 10AM – 6PM (Eastern Time).

HMO Hotline. MRC operates a national Medicare HMO Appeals hotline (888-HMO-9050) to assist Medicare HMO members who are appealing HMO denials of care or coverage. Hotline counselors are available Monday through Thursday, 12PM - 2PM (Eastern Time).

The Part D Appeals Project. MRC provides assistance to people whose Medicare Prescription Drug Plans have denied them coverage for the prescription drugs they need. Call 888-HMO-9050 Monday through Thursday 12PM - 2PM (Eastern Time) to leave a message.

New York City Managed Care Consumer Assistance Program (MCCAP). MRC provides back-up technical assistance as well as direct case assistance to all of the MCCAP partners and their clients with Medicare-related questions. With MCCAP funding we also host four walk-in clinics a month --one in Manhattan, Brooklyn, the Bronx and Queens to help New Yorkers with Medicare HMO questions and problems.

The Medicare Assistance Plan (M.A.P.). The Medicare Assistance Plan is a Medicare health insurance counseling service. M.A.P. provides immediate, high-quality information about Medicare through dedicated toll-free hotlines that employers, unions, and other organizations can purchase to assist their employees, retirees, or members.
